Cher had stopped by The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge around 1 a.m. Wednesday with a bodyguard when police said 36-year-old Calvin Hutton Houghland got a little overzealous and kept harassing Cher.
Houghland tried to talk to her and, at one point, even reached out to grab her hip.
According to a police affidavit, officers kicked Houghland out of Tootsies and told him to leave the area.
Officers arrested him after he kept returning to the club.
Police said he was intoxicated and that he admitted to drinking three beers.
Houghland failed a field sobriety test.
He was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Houghland is being held in jail on $3,000 bond.
